Shelving is the act of temporarily deactivating a virtual machine (VM) in order to keep a not currently active machine, but reduce costs to only paying for the storage space and assigned IPs. This is a popular option for those that want to keep a machine, but cannot justify the monthly expense if it won’t be used.

Reactivating a Virtual Machine

When you are ready to “reactivate” a virtual machine, simply submit a support ticket and we will spin the virtual machine back up.
